Fort Lauderdale, Florida;  The milestone celebration honoring Latinas from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach is a unique, cultural celebration showcasing Hispanic American women who have paved the way for others to follow.   
 
The 24th Hispanic Women of Distinction recognizes women who have in common the combination of their American entrepreneurship intertwined with their cultural traditions and values.  Their commitment to home, family and heritage is what makes each of them so very special, and this luncheon so unique.
 
The goal of Hispanic Women of Distinction is to elevate and empower Latinas and to recognize the influence they have in the South Florida community.  Over the more than two decades these powerful women’s share of the nation’s population has grown and that is expected to increase 25.7% by the year 2050! 
 
Presented by Latina Style Magazine, the nation’s leader in Hispanic women business in partnership with Nicklaus Children’s Health System, the region’s only specialty licensed healthcare system exclusively for children whose mission is to create a healthy future for every child.

The 2025 charity luncheon will be hosted at the newly renovated Pier 66 Hotel on Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale from 11 am to 2 pm. Tickets for the luncheon are $110 per person and sponsorships available beginning at $1500.

This year, the charity selected is FLITE Center, with the mission to guide those aging out of foster care, and other vulnerable youth, on a successful journey to independence through education, employment, housing, health and wellness, resource navigation and system of care coordination. Their vision is that no youth travels the road to adulthood alone.  A fantastic silent auction and raffles at the luncheon will benefit the FLITE Center’s services. 
 
Founded in 2001 by the late Erwin M. Vasquez, M.D., a Venezuelan-born cardiologist and publisher of the pioneer newspaper, EL Heraldo de Broward, and founder of the only free healthcare facility in Broward County since 1988, the Light of the World Clinic, his goal was to encourage many others to follow the dreams and success of the awardees. 
 
The Hispanic Women of Distinction luncheon will feature a complimentary cocktail from Tito’s Vodka, an exciting silent auction and business expo, as well as a fantastic luncheon, Latin entertainment and a gift for each attendee.  Former honorees will be recognized with the annual parade opening up the celebration.

El 24.o almuerzo benéfico anual de Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción se celebrará el 29 de agosto en el hotel Pier 66, recientemente renovado

 Desde su fundación en 2001, el popular homenaje a las mujeres latinas en los condados de Dade, Broward y Palm Beach denominado Hispanic Women of Distinction (Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción), ha galardonado a más de 350 mujeres hispanoamericanas cuyos logros son reconocidos en un evento anual altamente motivador, cultural y con entradas agotadas durante los últimos 24 años. 

El objetivo de la gala Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción es promover y empoderar a las latinas y reconocer la influencia que tienen en la comunidad del sur de Florida. A lo largo de más de dos décadas, hemos sido testigos del crecimiento de la representación de estas mujeres poderosas en la población del país, ¡y se espera que ese índice alcance el 25.7 % para el año 2050! 

La presentación de la gala está a cargo de Latina Style Magazine, la revista líder a nivel nacional en materia de negocios de mujeres hispanas, en asociación con Nicklaus Children’s Health System, el único hospital especializado de la región con licencia exclusivamente para niños, cuya misión es crear un futuro saludable para cada niño. El copatrocinador del evento es Latin Business Today, nuestro socio en línea, que presenta a las homenajeadas de 2025.

La edición 2025 del almuerzo benéfico se llevará a cabo en el hotel Pier 66, recientemente renovado, en Southeast 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, de 11 am a 2 pm. Este año, la organización benéfica seleccionada es FLITE Center, cuya misión es ofrecer apoyo y guía a los jóvenes que, por razones de edad, ya no califican para el programa de hogares temporales, y a otros jóvenes vulnerables, para que puedan iniciar una transición exitosa hacia la independencia a través de la educación, el empleo, la vivienda, la salud y el bienestar, la exploración de recursos y la coordinación de los programas de cuidado. 

La gala fue fundada por el difunto Dr. Erwin M. Vasquez, un cardiólogo nacido en Venezuela, editor del periódico pionero en español, El Heraldo de Broward, y fundador del único centro médico gratuito en el condado de Broward desde 1988, la Clínica Light of the World, con el objetivo de alentar a muchos otros a seguir los sueños y el éxito de las latinas que han allanado el camino para quienes vienen detrás.

El almuerzo de Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción ofrecerá un cóctel de bienvenida, cortesía de Tito’s Vodka, una fabulosa subasta silenciosa y una exposición de negocios, además de un fantástico almuerzo, entretenimiento latino y un obsequio para cada asistente.
